Dehydrated fruit covered in chocolate is a simple but good recipe and will brighten up your Christmas and winter days.
Which combination would you pick?
Ingredients
Use a microwave or a double boiler to melt the chocolate.
If using a microwave, heat the chocolate in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
If using a double boiler, melt the chocolate over simmering water, stirring until smooth.
Once the chocolate is melted, carefully dip each dried fruit piece into the chocolate, ensuring it’s well-coated. Use a fork or a dipping tool to assist with this process.
If desired, you can sprinkle chopped Mondona nuts over the chocolate-coated dried fruits before the chocolate sets. This adds extra flavour and texture.
Place the chocolate-covered dried fruits on a parchment-lined tray or plate, leaving some space between each piece to prevent sticking. Allow the chocolate to set. You can speed up the process by placing the tray in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
